Chenoa - A Ranch Stewardship Thesis
Chenoa, the first of many ranch stewardship projects with which Robert E. Fitzgerald and his teams have been involved, was one of the grandest, most ambitious and most difficult. Many previous attempts to logically and sustainably re-use a ranch that had been allowed to go fallow between Aspen and Glenwood, there seemed to be a spirit to the place that strongly resisted even the most respectful change.

Elk Creek Ranch
The Elk Creek Ranch, situated to the east of Meeker, Colorado along one of North America's best fishing rivers, was a destination over the years for the owner's many friends and associates. In his youth, he had hand-built a log fishing lodge and some small crash cabins, replete with fun and funky spaces, roaring fireplaces and the obligatory bar.

Indian Shadow Ranch

Located west of the town of Durango, the property has beautiful rolling meadow along a prominent water source known as the La Plata River and was equipped with many beautiful ranch structures.

Marabou
Stretching for miles along the Elk River on the western side of Steamboat Springs, Marabou is the latest in a long line of luxury ranch stewardship projects for which Robert Fitzgerald and other members of NAKA Designs, LLC have lead the design teams. Like Storm Mountain Ranch and others, the group was responsible for the architectural design of the entry compound, equestrian facilities, main lodge, spa, outfitter center, fitness center and the two different prototypes for the owner's cabins.

Maytag Mountain Ranch
Russ Maytag, the ranching coordinator for the Storm Mountain Ranch project, is himself a world-renowned cattleman and breeder. With the success of SMR, Russ reassembled the team responsible for this well-known ranch stewardship project to work with his own unique piece of western heritage in the south central region of the Sangre de Cristo wilderness.
