Teton Village - Jackson Hole, WY
Located a scenic 12 miles northwest of Jackson Hole, Teton Village is the largest and most popular ski area in Wyoming. With more than 4,000-vertical feet of varied terrain, the resort draws expert and beginner skiers and snowboarders alike from around the world. Situated at the base of the mountain is the Swiss-style Teton Village, better known as the "Vill."

Although the Crescent Mountain Lodge design process was completed only as far as the Design Development phase, the design team had great hopes and aspirations of actualizing the clients' well articulated dream of creating the first six-star hotel in the Western Hemisphere. The idea of the group was to produce a lodge where mountain modern elegance would draw the attention of locals as well as foreign visitors to the resort. Located on the only remaining ski-in, ski-out site in Teton Village, the lobby at Crescent Mountain Lodge was designed with the intention of bringing natural forms found in the surrounding contextual landscape directly into the grand lobby and entrance. The towering north and south lobby walls were to be breathtaking and had been planned to stand at 22' tall. The forms were to be composed of glass and iron (in the metaphorical design of tree trunks) with clusters of Swarofsky crystals in the nooks between the branches. The crystals were to catch the morning and late afternoon light and were meant to cast jewel colored rainbows within the room.

As mentioned, the project unfortunately went on hold in 2007.
