Encanterra Tour Center
Encanterra is one of the newest golf communities in Arizona with a course designed by Ryder Cup Captain Tom Lehman. This Trilogy Country Club development by Shea Homes is a blend of old-world tradition and sensibility and the latest of contemporary technology and style. The Tour Center specifically is the first of several amenity buildings for the community. Through the use of vibrant color and rich texture derived from the beauty of southern Spain , this portion of the overall community is consistent with the goal above and exhibits that goal well in the bringing together of a subtle Mediterranean style and a clear modern flair. The interiors are provided with a rich palette which strives to set the precedent for future projects within the community. Katie Elkins, a member of the NAKA Designs, LLC team, participated in the design, specification and ordering of the interior furnishings, fixtures, art and accessories while working with the buildings' design firm, Design Lines, Inc. In addition, Katie was also the Associate Designer of the building and assisted with the Construction Administration phase of it.
Encanterra Club House
As the heart of the community, the Encanterra Clubhouse is anticipated to be a 35,000 square foot building with complete golf-oriented amenities. Included in the conceptual plan is a grand living room, an internet café, a library and lounge, a full restaurant and bar, a ballroom wing for private events, and a full recreation wing replete with locker rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, exercise lawns and a small full-service spa. The master plan for the site includes a number of outdoor courtyards and event lawns for the use of the country club members. The conceptual design for the interiors of the club embodies the warmth and color of the Mediterranean region and incorporates a subtle hint of the Moroccan style as well. By blending the traditions of the old world with the newness of a fresh array of colors, textures and contemporary applications of stone and tile, the Encanterra Clubhouse promises to be a fine addition to the genre that is the Arizona golf community. Katie Elkins, a member of the NAKA Designs, LLC team, participated in the conceptual, schematic design and presentation phases of this work.
